Swing set

ExperimentalUpdated: 2026-10-25

What the system works out

You choose the frame type (A-frame / straight), the number of seats, the seat type and the fixing method. The system shows:

- the frame materials: timber posts or metal tubes;

- the seat (flat / rubber / toddler) price and suspension chains;

- the ground fixing: concrete footings or ground anchors;

- the safety zone area around the swing (min. 2 m from the edges).

Safety zone and surface

Under EN 1176 swings need clear space in front and behind — at least the swing height + 2 m. On the sides — at least 2 m.

- A soft surface (rubber tiles, bark or sand) reduces injury risk.

- The system calculates the safety zone area and the soft surfacing quantity.

- The frame is fixed with concrete footings (40 × 40 × 60 cm) or screw-in ground anchors.
