What the system works out
You enter the sandbox length, width, edging height and type (timber / plastic). The system shows:
- the edging material by perimeter and height;
- the sand volume by area and the given depth (typically 30–40 cm);
- the geotextile under the sand and the gravel drainage layer;
- the cover (if selected) dimensions and material.
Sand and hygiene
Washed river sand (0.5–2 mm fraction) is recommended. The system calculates the sand mass by volume (dry sand ≈ 1 500 kg/m³).
- A cover protects from animals and rain — extending the sand's useful life.
- Drainage under the sand prevents water pooling. Geotextile separates the sand from the subsoil.
- The sand should be replaced every 1–2 years.
