Fire pit

ExperimentalUpdated: 2026-10-25

What the system works out

You choose the fire pit type (in-ground / above-ground), diameter, lining material and seating zone. The system shows:

- the lining (stone, brick or metal ring) material quantity and price;

- the fire-resistant base (firebricks or a metal plate) price;

- the gravel or sand layer around the pit;

- the seating zone (benches or a stone wall) area and materials.

Safety and distances

A fire pit must be at least 3 m from any building, fence or tree.

- Around the pit — a non-combustible surface zone (gravel, sand or pavers) at least 1 m wide.

- The system warns if the given distance to a building is less than 3 m.

- A fire-resistant base protects the soil: firebricks or a metal plate on a sand layer.

- The seating zone is typically 2.5–3 m radius from the fire centre.
