Dog enclosures and kennels
ExperimentalUpdated: 2026-10-18
Enclosure
The enclosure is made of panels: a steel tube frame filled with vertical bars or welded mesh. You choose width, depth, front and back height, solid (boarded) walls, roof, base, timber floor, doors, partitions and feeders. Finish — hot-dip galvanising or powder coating.
You can also type it, e.g. "dog enclosure 3x2 with a kennel, 50 mm insulation".
Kennel
The kennel has a timber frame, board cladding, an OSB floor and optional insulation. Sizes S–XXL follow Lithuanian manufacturers' dimensions. The kennel always stands on legs; a wind vestibule and paint can be added.
Regulations — only with a source
- The enclosure height sets the structure group under STR 1.01.03:2017 — the system shows which one applies.
- For a kennel the index K = S × H³ is calculated (STR 1.01.03:2017 point 30) — a small kennel is usually not a structure.
- A recommended area by the dog's height at the withers comes from an EU regulation table, as a recommendation only.
- Where there is no number (e.g. a height the dog cannot jump), the system reminds you to check municipal rules.
Why experimental
Profiles, spacings and labour hours are based on market data and common practice; prices are initial assumptions. The object runs through the same engines as buildings, so you get drawings, a PDF and a 360° view. Feedback helps us improve it.
